Careers at Ocean Visions

Ocean Visions is a nonprofit ocean conservation organization pursuing bold solutions to counter and reverse climate impacts on ocean health. Working with a global network of partners, we explore, evaluate, and advance innovations to address climate-driven harm to the ocean. View current staff.

Our Goals:

Ocean Visions pursues three interconnected goals to advance potential ocean-climate solutions:

  • Develop credible evidence around potential ocean-climate solutions by advancing responsible science, testing, and evaluation.
  • Create enabling conditions for informed decision-making by strengthening necessary scientific, governance, and societal foundations.
  • Build extensive ocean-climate action by supporting and activating a diverse global community of makers and solvers.

OPPORTUNITIES

  • New RFP: Help Ocean Visions Assess the Surface Albedo Modification Landscape
Ocean Visions is seeking proposals for a rapid assessment of the Surface Albedo Modification (SAM) landscape to help identify known and emerging approaches, key actors, relevant technologies, and potential mechanisms for advancing related research and development. While global warming accelerates and Earth’s energy imbalance increases, a range of approaches have been proposed to increase the reflection of incoming sunlight from surfaces such as snow, ice, water, and land. While some approaches have received limited research attention, the broader landscape has significant gaps in understanding whether approaches are technically achievable and what their socio-ecological impacts may be. Findings from the SAM assessment will help inform future Ocean Visions R&D activities. Deadline is October 5, 2026. Learn More & Apply
