Ocean Visions is a non-profit organization that catalyzes innovative solutions at the intersection of the ocean and climate crises by leading and facilitating multisector collaborations from within our Network and beyond. We work on interconnected ocean and climate issues with leading research institutions, the private sector, and public-interest organizations to more fully explore and advance responsible and effective ocean-based climate solutions that can help stabilize the climate and restore ocean health. – Build momentum and action to address the existential threats to the ocean created by global climate disruption.

– Support prolific imagination, innovation, development, and demonstration of solutions that can address and hopefully exceed the scale and pace of negative change in the ocean.

– Build and engage a vibrant and diverse global community of “solvers” and “makers” committed and supported to tackling and solving these big ocean problems.

Program Officer: Ocean Visions – UN Decade Collaborative Center for Ocean-Climate Solutions & Global Ecosystem for Ocean Solutions 

Ocean Visions seeks a Program Officer to help support and coordinate all aspects of the Ocean Visions – UN Decade Collaborative Center for Ocean-Climate Solutions (OV-UN DCC) and the Global Ecosystem for Ocean Solutions (GEOS) program. This includes organizing and/or helping to facilitate various functions and initiatives, assisting with the creation of new expert groups (e.g. communities of practice, task forces, working groups, etc.), organizing webinars and workshops, fundraising, and more. The focal areas for both the OV-UN DCC and GEOS include advancing ocean-based solutions to ameliorating climate change, building equitable solutions for the climate resiliency of critical marine ecosystems and coastal communities, regeneration of ecosystems and biodiversity to counter the impacts of climate change, and building ocean-based food security in the face of climate impacts.
